Dr. Cyrus Aghdam first became interested in orthodontics during his own orthodontic treatment in high school. Seeing the difference an orthodontist can make in someone’s life by helping to increase their self-confidence, he knew that this was the profession for him. The desire to become an orthodontist and to help give everyone a beautiful smile, led him to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering at the University of Maryland School of Engineering. He then went on to earn his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Maryland Dental School, graduating Magna Cum Laude, at the top of his class. After that, he completed his specialty training, and obtained his Certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from the Eastman Institute for Oral Health at the University of Rochester. This program is regarded as one of the top programs in the nation.
